The Industar-61 L/Z 50/2.8 MC M42 macro lens from the Soviet LZOS factory features an optical structure with a Zeiss Tessar design, consisting of 4 elements in 3 groups. This lens can produce a distinctive six-pointed starburst bokeh between apertures f5.6 to f8. Although Christmas is still four months away, in order to capture the special starburst bokeh, the photographer had to bring out Christmas decorations to serve as the background for Santa Claus.

A Visit to Tamsui Shell Warehouse

A few days ago, thanks to my mother-in-law's recommendation, I discovered that there is a 'Shell Warehouse' near the Tamsui MRT station. Yes, it's the Shell that sells petroleum! Coincidentally, today my child is participating in soccer training at Tamkang University in Tamsui. After handing my child over to the team coach, I took my NONS SL42 instant camera to the 'Shell Warehouse' to take photos. The entire area is very clean, and the buildings have been well restored (at least to us non-experts).

前幾天經岳母介紹後，我才知道淡水捷運站旁有個「殼牌倉庫」，沒錯，就是那家賣石油的 Shell！剛好今天小孩到淡水真理大學參加足球集訓，把小孩交給球隊教練後，我就帶 NONS SL42 拍立得相機到「殼牌倉庫」拍照，整個園區很乾淨，建築物也修復的不錯 (對我們外行人而言)。

This Mamiya Universal was probably purchased in 2015. The reason for acquiring this camera was that at the time, I was looking for a Polaroid Automatic 250 Land Camera to play with Polaroid peel-apart film. However, it only had automatic exposure functionality, which couldn't fully satisfy the complete joy of photography. After some research, I found that the Mamiya Universal was truly the perfect match for Polaroid peel-apart film. Not only can it capture full-frame images (unlike other medium format camera backs for Polaroid, such as Hasselblad, which can only partially image), but it also offers different focal lengths for creative use.

這台 Mamiya Universal 應該是在 2015年購入的，會購入這台相機的原因，是當時找了一台 Polaroid Automatic 250 Land Camera 玩拍立得撕拉片，但是它只有自動曝光的功能，無法滿足完整的攝影樂趣。研究了一陣子，發現 Mamiya Universal 才真得是拍立得撕拉片的絕配，不但可拍攝完整片幅 (其他中型相機的拍立得機背，如哈蘇，只能部分成像)，還能有不同鏡頭焦段可供創作運用。

The Mamiya Universal has a dedicated back for Polaroid peel-apart film, and Fujifilm's peel-apart film can also be used. Unfortunately, it was discontinued several years ago (in 2016). Currently, there are only limited productions of single-sheet "Polaroid-like" peel-apart films by enthusiasts in Europe, costing about 10 euros per sheet. Another method is to use Fujifilm Instax Wide camera back parts, combined with 3D printing technology, to create a dedicated Instax Wide camera back for Mamiya Universal. The one I have was purchased through a proxy from across the strait (mainland China).


Mamiya Universal 有 Polaroid 撕拉片的專用機背，Fujifilm 的撕拉片也可以用。無奈多年前(2016)已陸續經停產，目前歐洲有拍立得攝影同好正在少量生產單張 "類" Polaroid 撕拉片，1張大約10歐元。另一個方式，是透過將Fujifilm Instax Wide的相機過片零件，結合3D列印的技術，製作 Mamiya Universal 專屬的 Instax Wide 拍立得機背，我手邊的這一個便是請代購業者從海峽對岸購入的。

The location where the photography equipment was tested today is the Taipei Astronomical Museum of National Taiwan University, referring to the introduction on the internet:

"If you pass by Sinhai Road in Taipei near the National Taiwan University Sports Center and look towards the old male dormitory No. 13 near the Drunken Moon Lake, you can see that the former dormitory buildings have been converted into a building with a special design. In the middle of this cubic building, with the changing light, a circular shadow sometimes appears (see the right picture). This is the "National Taiwan University Astronomical Museum," designed by the architect Yao Renxi, full of poetic sentiment, yet containing the philosophical spirit of cosmology and Chinese culture.

The National Taiwan University Astronomical Museum was donated and built by Mr. Liang Cizhen, vice chairman of Quanta Computer. He graduated from the Department of Physics at National Taiwan University and was very interested in the vastness of the universe and astronomy while in school. Although he later engaged in computer and information technology, he still established the "Liang Cizhen Center for Cosmology and Particle Astrophysics" in 2007 with donations. In 2012, he donated again to build the "Cizhen Universe Museum," allowing the research center to have a good place for sustainable operation.

今天測試的攝影器材的地方是-台灣大學次震宇宙館，參考網路上的介紹:

若在台北辛亥路過台大體育館，靠近台大醉月湖的校園圍牆邊往舊日的男生第十三宿舍望去，可見到昔日的宿舍樓房已改建成一座特殊造型的建築。此座立方體建築的中間，會隨著光線的變化，時而出現一個圓形陰影（見右圖），這是名建築師姚仁喜率領的大元建築工場所設計的「台大次震宇宙館」，充滿詩情畫意，卻又蘊含宇宙科學及中華文化天圓地方的哲學精神。

次震宇宙館為廣達電腦副董事長梁次震先生所捐建，他畢業於台大物理系，在校時即對宇宙、天文的浩瀚無窮極有興趣，後來雖從事電腦、資訊業，仍於二○○七年捐資成立「梁次震宇宙學與粒子天文物理學研究中心」；二○一二年再度捐建「次震宇宙館」，讓研究中心得以有良好場所，永續運作。

The NONS SL42 Mark II camera was born for this purpose. It has a Canon EOS EF mount adapter suitable for adapting traditional camera lenses. With various adapters available on the market, it can adapt M42, Nikon F, Contax/Yashic, and other types of traditional camera lenses. To solve the problem of the framing ring of 135 camera lenses not fully imaging on Instax Mini photos, the manufacturer provides a 1.8x magnifying glass. It can enlarge the 24mm x 36mm imaging of 135 film to 43.2mm x 64.8mm, approximately equivalent to the imaging size of Instax Mini photos at 46mm x 64mm.


NONS SL42 Mark II相機就是為了這個目的而生，她有個適合轉接傳統相機鏡頭的Canon EOS EF接環，透過市面上的轉接環，可以轉接M42、Nikon F、Contax/Yashic 等各式傳統相機鏡頭。為了解決135相機鏡頭的成項圈無法在Instax Mini相片上全幅成像的問題，原廠提供了一個1.8倍加倍鏡，可以將135底片成像24mm x 36mm 放大成 43.2mm x 64.8mm，約莫等於 Instax Mini 相片的成像 46mm x 64mm。

The usage of NONS SL42 is roughly equivalent to early non-metering SLR cameras operated with stopped-down aperture. After loading the Instax Mini film cartridge and pressing the electric film advance button to dispense the shading plastic sheet, you can start shooting. The camera itself also has a built-in reflective light meter (non-TTL). Simply select the shutter speed (1, 1/2, 1/4, ..., 1/125, 1/250 seconds), and the display window will show the appropriate aperture value.

Next: cock the shutter -> open the aperture for focusing -> select the shutter speed -> choose the aperture according to the recommended value on the light meter -> press the shutter button -> press the electric film advance button -> wait for the photo image to emerge. Once done, the display window will show the remaining number of photos in the camera.

Additionally, it's crucial to note that since the camera's fastest shutter speed is only 1/250 second, and the ISO value of Instax film is 800, it is recommended to use an ND4 or higher neutral density filter when shooting outdoors during the daytime.


NONS SL42 的使用方式，大概就等於早期無測光，並且以縮光圈操作的單眼相機。裝上Instax Mini 相片卡匣，按下電動出片鈕，吐出遮光塑膠片，就可開始拍攝了。相機本身也有內建一個反射式測光表(非TTL)，只要選定好快門速度(1、1/2、1/4、、、、1/125、1/250秒)，顯示窗會顯示適合的光圈值。

接下來 快門上弦 -> 光圈全開對焦 -> 選定快門速度 -> 依測光表建議值選定光圈 -> 按下快門 -> 按下電動出片鈕 -> 等待相片影像浮出 就完成了，顯示窗會顯示相機內剩餘的相片數量。


另外，很重要的一點，因為相機最快的快門速度只有1/250秒，而Instax底片的ISO值是800，一般戶外白天拍攝時，建議搭配ND4以上的減光鏡使用喔。

CONTAX S2/Aria, YASHICA FX-3 Viewfinder Rubber Eyepiece Replacement 相機的眼罩代用品

The original viewfinder rubber eyepiece model for YASHICA FX-3, CONTAX S2, and Aria is F-3. Since these cameras have been discontinued for many years, it's nearly impossible to find the original eyepiece on the internet. Of course, using the camera without the eyepiece is still possible. However, for photography enthusiasts who wear glasses, it can be inconvenient because the plastic frame of the viewfinder constantly hits the lenses of the glasses. This repeated contact may cause the coating on the lenses to peel off. Therefore, I believe installing a rubber eyepiece has its advantages, providing both light shielding and protection for glasses. Are there any non-original replacement options? Yes, let's try two non-original rubber eyepieces here.

After installation testing, the rubber eyepiece with the code EF (for EOS 450D/550D/600D/650D/700D) and EB (for EOS 60D/50D/5D2/40D/30D/20D/10D) from Canon EOS digital cameras fits perfectly.

YASHICA FX-3 、CONTAX S2及Aria的原廠觀景窗橡膠眼罩型號是F-3。由於這幾款相機已經停產多年，所以原廠眼罩在網路上幾乎是買不到了，當然沒有眼罩也是可以用啦。這對戴眼鏡的攝影同好來說倒是有些不便，因為觀景窗的塑膠外框會一直敲到眼鏡的鏡片，多敲幾次難免鏡片的鍍膜會脫落，所以我覺得裝個橡膠眼罩還是有好處，除了遮光還有保護眼鏡。那麼有沒有非原廠的替代品呢? 有的，這裡就讓我們來試試兩個非原廠的橡膠眼罩吧。

經過安裝測試，Canon EOS 數位相機的觀景窗橡膠眼罩編號 EF (EOS 450D/550D/600D/650D/700D 及 EB (EOS 60D/50D/5D2/40D/30D/20D/10D) 剛好可以適用。
