I have traveled to London, Amsterdam, and Copenhagen for business on several occasions. Although I was not able to fully enjoy the leisurely pace of travel, I always appreciate the opportunity to experience the different styles of these cities. On these business trips, I always bring a small camera to capture the sights of the streets.
London, November 1997:
I arrived in London in late November, when the sun rose at 10:30 AM and set at 3:30 PM. I took the subway to wander around the city center, soaking up the atmosphere of Christmas. I finally bought a teddy bear encyclopedia for my wife as a Christmas present, and then took the subway back to my hotel in the suburbs.
Amsterdam and Copenhagen, June 2001:
I arrived in Amsterdam and Copenhagen in early June. The two cities are very different, with different cultures. Dutch people are tall and muscular. The female taxi driver who picked us up at the airport was stronger than any of the men present. She easily lifted two large suitcases into the trunk with two hands. Danish people are gentler in appearance. They are smaller than Dutch people, and everyone I met on the street was very polite. Aarhus is a large city in northern Denmark. The houses in the city look like scenes from a fairy tale.
因為工作的關係到過倫敦、阿姆斯特丹和哥本哈根出差，雖然不能好好享受旅遊的閒適，但是有機會體會不同城市的風格總是不錯的。這類商務旅遊我喜歡帶著輕便相機，隨時隨地記錄街上的景緻。

到倫敦時是11月底，早上10點多才天亮，下午3點多就已經天黑了，搭地鐵胡亂地在市中心逛了一圈，也感染了一下聖誕節的氣氛，最後買了一本泰迪熊的圖鑑給老婆當聖誕禮物，意猶未竟的的搭地鐵回到郊區的飯店。

到阿姆斯特丹和哥本哈根約是6月初，兩個截然不同的城市，不同的人文。荷蘭人都是高頭大馬，到機場載我們的是女司機，比現場的任何一個男生都壯，兩個大行李，雙手一提就擺到後車廂上，輕而易舉。丹麥人感覺較為溫和，體型與荷蘭人相比算是小一號了，街上遇到的每個人都很客氣，是個很容易讓人親近的國家。阿爾堡則是丹麥北方的大城，街上的房子就如童話故事裡的景色一般。
